I was in Jerusalem in January 1976, for two or three weeks. Lived in Mea Shearim. I used to hang around a lot at the Chocolate Soup. The owner, Baruch, was my friend. I was there briefly in June 1977. I am glad to see someone knew that place where I spent some of the happiest times of my life.

My brother, Alan Horowitz owned the chocolate soup before it sadly closed it’s doors….many happy memories as well…still have many of the cards as seen above.

A sweet memory of my teenage years in Jerusalem, the hottest hang out spot. Dark, delicious chocolate soup, romantic memories.
Does anyone have the recipe of the chocolate soup?

One of my fondest memories of living in Jerusalem. I was at school there in the late 70s. That place was AHmazing. The food, the atmosphere. Wish it was still around. You had to experience it. You can’t describe it – people think it sounds weird!

I also visited and loved the Chocolate Soup, 1979/1980. Great memories!
